This is my Official Declaration: I, Jaime Buckley. Will Focus On Writing Stories For You, as my #1 priority, regardless of Social Feelings expressed for or against me.
Did I have to say that? Probably not, but I thought it important to remind you, AND to state that for the newcomers.
You are important to me.
You have value.
You matter…at least to me.
…and I care about you, a great deal.
YOU are who I do all this for, regardless of what other writers are doing in their own sphere’s of influence. Regardless of what’s happening throughout the world in general.
I like to think of Life of Fiction as in ‘Independent Space’ where readers can come to enjoy the quirky lenses I see through to make life a better place to exist in. I started writing this material for my own children many years ago. This was for them. Now I write for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends and thousands of readers who were looking for something they could enjoy while allowing their family values and morals to remain intact.
That’s what I do.
To be 100% clear, I support your right to choose for yourself, even when that doesn’t align with what I believe or want.
My job is to write stories in the best way I know how, and then publish them for those who find value in them.
