Yes, I absolutely agree. The internet, politics, and all will always be setting itself on fire. There needs to be a safe space for people to retreat to and remember what it's like to be human. To see and remember that the world has wonders and joy that shouldn't be missed. That's what "Life of Fiction" ... all fiction... is for!
The world can be a very busy and distracting place with information overload. Good luck writing and staying focused.
