The Ex Libris Plates

Every book you own should know whose it is. Twelve designs, drawn out of the world you've been reading. Höbin's field desk. The Roadkill Tavern's sign. A cartographer's cartouche with a sea serpent curled around it. A dragon asleep on a stack of books, for the shelf in the smaller bedroom. Each page holds four of the same plate, so print the one you love and you've got four to spend. Cut on the dashed lines. Write your name. Glue it inside the front cover, upper left, where bookplates have lived for five hundred years. Plain paper works. A sheet of full-page labels works better, and turns them into stickers. Some say Ex Libris. Some say This Book Belongs To, for the readers who haven't got to Latin yet. Black line only. They won't drink your ink.
