VOTE: Help Us Choose A Theme Song!
The FICTION CARTEL needs your opinion.
I said it during The FICTION CARTEL: Red Herrings in Storytelling that I wanted to have a ‘theme song’ by next time…and I wasn’t bluffing.
Did a few trials, messed with some lyrics, then used my connections at WHRN and asked MS from Gnome Tone Records to help with the music and talent.
When I sent it over to
, Ann liked the lyrics, but had a different vision for the feel. I loved her idea. She had imagined more of a ‘Secret Agent Man’ feel, from the Johhny Rivers in 1966.So that’s the direction we went.
We’d love for you to vote for which you like more.
Have a listen:
Version A
Version B
We appreciate your input =)

I like the first one, A, because it's upbeat and had my foot tapping. I turned it on, closed my eyes, and just let it play. My only issue, is that (both of them) seem too long. I get it, it eats up time and all that, but that's seems to be the hardest part with these things, isn't it? Maybe it's just me? The introduction to the videos we make -- even though we know they should be a certain length -- are just hard to nail. But, this works. I can't wait to see the animation you're going to add...or are you?
Man, Ann is a idea machine! I like B, it reminds me of some song I've heard before but haven't quite nailed down. The style of both songs definitely fits the Fiction Cartel. Everyone needs fedoras now.
