I WANTED to test play the game I have sitting here....but especially after playing with you, Craig, Jeff, Simon and Evan....I realized what had been crafted is wayyyyy too complicated.
I'm revisiting it to see if I can find a simpler version, of if I need to start from scratch...AND that begs a question: Should I start with a very young version...and then make it slightly more complicated for people like you and me?
100 - 300 mega bites per second is crazy
And excited to see what you’ll do with the rpg

Thoughts?
I think you should focus on the family as a whole
You could start simple and work it up or something but I don’t know how complex you have it now
Focus on readability and reasonably simple mechanics and the kids imagination will pick up the rest
I would play around with things
I’ve seen card systems where abilities are put on cards instead of just a character sheet to keep things easier to find
That might be an idea?
