I WAS ASKED, "WHAT'S YOUR STORY?"

Huh.

My story?

You ain’t got time for my story, cupcake, so I’ll make this simple...

I’m a big, hairy, coffee drinkin’, low sugar, high fat, meat eatin’ unicorn with a habit of talkin’ to people that don’t exist, but talk back nonetheless.

I have skeletons in the closet, junk in the trunk, a beam in my eye and a love for people, regardless of who they are, where they are, what they believe, or what they've done.

I spend my time trying to help everyone by convincing no one, but holding anyone and everyone accountable for the choices they made but blame other people for.

I've been hit, hurt, kicked, bit, bucked, bashed, booted, stabbed, stepped on, thrown out and cast off...until I was seen, saved, lifted up and built up by a community of perspicacious personalities who allow me to stumble and serve, teach and preach, reminding me to get up one more time than I'm knocked down so I can be what God wants me to be.

I’m just your uncommon, run of the mill, overly average guy who tried to find happiness starting his own country by birthing its citizens, sharpening minds and challenging traditions…and was blessed to discover the joy of family and friends along the way.

I also make a mean plate of hash-browns.
