It can only get better.

I hear you. Amazon won’t even delete my stuff when asked. I can hide it from the public, but no take- backsies. Like it is suddenly their property. I wish I had the cash to file an anti-trust suit.

It should tell us something, when you cannot delete anything from your dashboard.....which.....

Ya KNOW, Terry.....I'm wondering something now.

What if we take the opportunity to upload new files for our books, and put a disclaimer at the from that "The author of this book attempted to remove his/her work from this platform, but was denied, even though all rights to this work remain solely with the author. IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED THIS WORK, then this platform has illegally sold a delisted work without the Authors consent. The Author recommends you bring this fact to the platforms attention, and get your money refunded.

If you desire to acquire the works of this author, you can do so by going directly through the author."

Then what we do is place this notice in the beginning of the book....and THEN place Lorum Ipsum content at different points in the book, such as:

....and then let the platform [cough - Amazon - cough] explain itself.

If they won't play by the rules, why not change the rules ourself?

Technically they deleted it for me after about 10 email requests.

The first few times I asked, they ignored my request and told me I could archive it, which would hide it from public view. I said I wanted to change one book (one they rejected) so I wanted to delete it and then submit a new version. They told me it was hidden so I didn’t have to delete it. I repeated I wanted to change it and they told me to submit the new version and they would make sure it replaced the old one.

I finally asked why are they holding onto my content when I asked them not to (and that they’d rejected anyway) and at that point they deleted it. But never replied to my message.

So it’s technically wrong to say they wouldn’t delete it. But they sure resisted.

INteresting......

Hmmmmmmmmmm. That gets my mind going.

Do we just need to bring up the fact that they are holding onto our content, when we don't want them to?

Now I want to go through their ToS and see what they say....
