Morning Coffee 9 : Words Are Our Most Important Tools. How Are We Using Them?
At the time of year when words have more weight and we are given greater opportunities to use words for good or for evil, how are we doing?

First off, I hope your December is going well.
If youāre a Christmas shopper type, that you find what youāre looking for, that every penny stretches, and your āplansā are coming to fruition.
If you are NOT a Christmas person, I hope your month is lovely and filled with reasons to celebrate or relax/enjoy whatever you prefer to do, surrounded by those you love and who love you!
I am so blessed. I should say that more often.
I am blessed to have the opportunity to tell you stories. To have the means to do these videos and get them to you. To reach out and love other people, and I hope, really truly hope, that in some way I can help make your life betterā¦never worse.
Todayās video is shorter ā Iām getting better ā but I did forget to follow up on the word āGuaranteeāā¦and that bugged me.
Thing is, when I stopped and thought about my old complaint about the word guarantee, it used to be a marketing word overly used and abused. Everyone had the lowest price, āguaranteedā. Not everyone can have the lowest price, though, only one canā¦right? Of course.
Now we have the most common being a āmoney back guaranteeā for whatever product or service, but I question the actual intent. Iāve purchased services which didnāt even perform at a minimum of what was promised, and when I tried to get my money back, they either refused, OR made it near impossible to do so.
That being said, Iām always hesitant when any company touts their āGuaranteeāā¦unless itās backed by a sea of actual recommendations and top reviews. But thatās just me. People have become a bit wiser (perhaps) about the word guaranteeā¦so Iāll leave that to die here.
āFREEā, however, is still on my personal hit list.
My Personal Recommendation About Words
This is a time of year when life can be extra hard for some of us. A simple, kind word, even from a stranger, can be the difference between willing to endure another day, or giving up.
Choose to do good. Strive to be kind.
You never know what silent struggles a person may be drowning under.
Hold out a hand.
Save a soul by being a glimmer of hope.

Words are the heart of life. The breath of life and the word...
Words are so important. And I think that when you said ārelatableā that hit it on the head for a good story.
If you canāt relate to the story your experience what incentive is there to care. (This is why so many main characters have trauma.) everyone can relate to death, everyone can relate to feeling unwanted. So authors weld it onto their protagonistās personality.
But to be honest all the fancy presentation and fluff you put on to something doesnāt make a blind bit of difference if what is being said or shown has no truth or purpose. It just becomes another soulless piece of fancy looking trash.
