Happy New Year! I look forward to the unraveling of the mystery around Hobin's missing friends. Enjoy breakfast!

I had my granddaughter this morning, now I'm working for the afternoon, probably rescuing a website for someone...

The morning was mixed experiences. The place we all wanted to eat at had a 2 hour min wait when we got there, even though i called ahead last night with time and head count.

We left, angry. My oldest son and half our party just went to McDonalds and then home,...too many hungry little kids.

Kathi and I and our 5 and grandma, and my daughter and her clan decided to try a new place. Hmmm.

Service was horrid. Barely anyone there, 30 minutes just to get a water, over an hour before we got food, a waitress who only remembered to give me a coffee refill once in an hour.

My wife and kids were worried, for I said...nothing. Not...a...single...word.

Then the food came. Remembers -- we've never been there. It was called the Black Bear Cafe, I believe.

Food? Outstanding taste. Portions? Gargantuan. Value for price? Amazing.

The cook saved me...and accept for telling the manager to take off the coffee, because I wasn't paying that price for two cups, I will go back. So long as it's not the same waitress.

Company? Perfect as always...and my children had stellar manners.

I do love when my 4 year old looks at screaming kids around here and frowns at me. "THAT'S not good."

Happy New Year! Ah, the Chinese puzzle box of storage. I'm quite familiar with it. Good luck on the road trip πŸ˜„

Brother-- HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Hehe, yeah, in my house, I like to call it the Tetris skill -- of which my wife is supreme. I can stand next to the van, a towering pile of boxes and knick-knacks....my wife will tilf her head to the side. "That'll fit."

"Uhhhhh," is usually what drools from my mouth.

Then it fits.

I'm starting to believe she has the ability to bend reality.

....or at least my perceptions of reality (laughing).

Arrrrrgh!

Trying to keep us in schedule for a lovely breakfast, and this road trip hit a snag, hahaha...

When I went out to warm the minivan, I found it bursting at the seems with decoration boxes from Christmas πŸŽ„!!!

...I forgot to take everything back to storage.

Now I'll have to unload the van into the living room before we can leave. Then reload it when I get home, to unload it again at storage today.

Happy January 1st.
