I can't count how many times I've had situations like that happen. Siblings, coworkers, strangers. Doing something so out of character, but also doing it so well as if I trained for it.
People would ask me "How did you do that?" Or "Who taught you that?"
"I don't know, it was....an accident? " I would say feeling just as surprised as everyone else lol
Those were some of the scariest moments in my life. I would even blackout sometimes, and hear about what happened from someone else who had been present.
I did get a little teaching for self defense from dad, but I never actually practiced, or intentionally put it to use. I like to think angels were intervening on my behalf to keep me safe. 🙃😁
Those are some hard lessons! Haha! Especially “The world doesn’t care about your preference for peace, son. It cares about your response to chaos.” Sad, but true—right there. Preparing for chaos is one of life‘s necessities. 😊
