Good times! But so much talking from Ann! Yikes. Sorry. Sigh. It was fun hanging with Jaime & Scoot. Hope you can all pull something useless from our long chat.

It's a TALKING show, silly girl!!

...of COURSE you're going to talk...hopefully a lot.

It'll be more fun with more people.

I'm trying to get 6 of us on next time....AND I know you can't make the next session, but I'm wondering if 6pm your time would work for you and Lisa?

That way Scoot has more room to maneuver...and not be on past midnight.

Possible??

Oh, and Jaime, great show notes! You covered all the best stuff we mentioned. Bravo!

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

Did I miss anything?

Took me a little while...and I went back into the room to collect the links.

...but you and Scoot looked over the chat more than I did.

No competition among writers? I thought I was the only one who felt that way? I'm always so pleased when someone succeeds and gets their work published. Why wouldn't you be?

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

EXACTLY, Ben!!!

Thank you.

More folks need to understand this...and I get that it's counterintuitive to what we are taught in society, but it's solid wisdom.

Did I hear that right? A million copies of a PDF? I could get behind that.

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

Yeah, I think we passed that mark back in 2022.

I gave many of those copies away, like to schools and teachers striving to encourage kids across the country to read.

Started selling them in 2005, for ยข.97 a download.

It was a huge success and blessing.

...then damage to my hands from a car accident ended my drawing for over four years. Thought I'd never draw again...

You can read all of them for free now, starting here:

BTW, the cover price was for the printed version, which we sold very few of.

This is a great time for me as well! I'm in if you want me. Dinner is done and out of the way by that time. In fact, I already told the wife I would be here. If it's taking part, or just listening, I want to be here.

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

Not sure who will be in the seats, but I'd love to have you there and interjecting questions, if you're willing.

Always good to have honest folks in the room.

I'm only 20 minutes into this episode but it's already so valuable. I think I'll be a much more regular listening going forward. Thanks for this, Jaime, Ann, and Scoot

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

Im sorry, but you won't get away that easily, Eric.

Kind comment or not.

I don't know about the others, but im a fan of your writing...and i feel you should consider joining us from time to time on the stage...

...you have been warned โš ๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Eric Falden's avatar

Iโ€™d absolutely be open to that! Thank you. This was a fantastic conversation, btw. Glad I tuned in.

Tell Me a Mystery's avatar

Fantastic! And thank you! Welcome to the Cartel๐Ÿ˜Ž

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

I believe this is starting to catch on, Anne...

Jaime Buckley ๐Ÿ’Ž's avatar

Let's get together sometime soon, so I can get you admin rights in the room, and then I'll plan on you joining us when we do events....if that's okay.

Admin rights allow you to sit in one of the chairs on the stage.

Sound good?

Eric Falden's avatar

Yes it does. Letโ€™s go.

Tell Me a Mystery's avatar

Thanks, Eric! That's kind of you and good to hear. We need you on a panel soon!

Shannon W Haynes's avatar

This is good. Itโ€™s like sitting in on some writer friends talking about the things Iโ€™m wondering about on my own out here.

Tell Me a Mystery's avatar

Thanks, Shannon! That's great to hear and exactly how we want it to feel. :)
