I'm going to say this here in the comments, because I've been screaming inside to say it:
Decades ago, I was looking through a rare book my family owned -- a JRR Tolkien Bestiary. It was magnificent. HUGE,...and I loved spending hours working through it, reading, falling in love with the black and white artwork.
It cemented in my mind, that i wanted that kind of experience, but more, for my readers. That as they learned about the world and the aspects of it, i wanted them to experience it through the eyes of a character, not a listing in a book.
That's why I hired Höbin.
Honestly, I don't know how many gnomes we interviewed. 322, I think it was, until we met? Anyway -- point is, I was going to write up a contract and offer Höbin a publishing deal -- but he was already doing exactly what I was hiring him for!
Looking for mysteries and adventures to learn more about his world, so he could publish his works for humans. When we hit it off famously, he said, "Why not team up instead?"
Best decision I've made in decades. Been best of friends ever since.
SO...there is a slew of books we will be working on together, once the main series is written...and some stuff along the way. Like I said, soooo much more!
I love the way this is coming together!
More to come.
...soooo much more.
This is only the setup.
Certainly hope so, young lady -- you have no idea how challenging it was to put this information together! Second only to Bloodsticks research.
Now THAT was a crapper of a deal, I'll tell you what! Completely underpaid.
I'm intrigued.

Amazing things can happen when smart, creative folks work together and stop this 'competing' nonsense.
I'm really liking Hobin.
Keep making comments like that, and I'll really like you , too.
Well then I'm just going to have to charm you because I hear you're the best storyteller and I love stories!
Second best.
...just sayin'.
Snicker. If I can get you two competing to prove who is best, does that mean I get more stories to read?
I plead the 5th on that one.
You mean you'll down a 5th of whiskey, don't you, cupcake?
...yer sweating, Jaime....I can see it in your type. HAHAHA...
