Rune lore is dangerous. To be a power that can work independently of its creator, a rune needs a life force to function.

I'm wondering if there is a reason in there for why Rune lore was kept hidden...
There's always a reason, my friend. But to this day -- and I'm still working on this -- I've not been able to uncover WHAT that reason would be.
The Kutollum aren't exactly bursting to volunteer any information, but this is beyond playing it close to the chain mail, if you know what I mean.
Have you found information through any other race, other than the Kutollum, about rune magic?
